Our principles. Your cooperative.

October is National Cooperative Month

PEC linemen standing in front of bucket truckPEC is a nonprofit cooperative, and as a member, you’re more than a customer — you’re an owner with a real stake in our success. It’s an investment we never take for granted. We’ve been focused on our mission for 85 years, strengthening the cooperative by meeting challenges and seizing opportunities. As an indispensable part of life in the Hill Country, we strive to always be a mindful neighbor and trusted partner. And PEC gives back, because we’re guided by cooperative principles that put people over profit. As your friends, family, and neighbors, we’re not just here for you, we’re here because of you.

Serving you is what we do.

President Lyndon B. Johnson once said, “Of all the things I have ever done, nothing has given me as much satisfaction as bringing power to the Hill Country of Texas.” We’ve come a long way since then, but the PEC team brings that same pride and enthusiasm to work with them every day.

We are the biggest cooperative in the nation, and we also believe we are one of the best. That starts with recruiting talented people who are motivated to serve their communities by serving our members. We asked a few of our team members their favorite thing about being part of the cooperative difference.
