PEC works to build strong relationships not only with individual members but elected officials, chambers of commerce, businesses, and other community organizations within PEC’s service territory as well.

Power Connection
The crew in blue provides climbing pit, transformer, and grounding demonstrations as you gain a better sense of what happens “behind the scenes” of power interruptions and how PEC works to restore your power safely and quickly.

Sponsorships and donations
PEC seeks a balanced and responsible approach to monetary and in-kind community support to work for the sustainable development of the cooperative’s service area and the surrounding communities. PEC provides monetary and in-kind community support through the following programs:
Many Hands Program
Communities and nonprofit organizations within the PEC service area may receive free use of specialized equipment and/or labor or the limited donation of surplus materials.
PEC Community Grants Program
A competitive application process in which eligible nonprofit organizations may receive grants from the cooperative for qualified projects located within the PEC service area or in a community surrounded by the PEC service area.
Educational support
Education foundations, school districts, and certain libraries within the PEC service area or in a community surrounded by the PEC service area may receive monetary contributions from the cooperative.
PEC Scholarship Program
A scholarship program is administered by The Pedernales Electric Cooperative Scholarship Fund. Applications open in February.
Corporate matching of employee giving
PEC matches employee contributions made to PEC United Charities, Inc.
PEC holiday lights requests
PEC does not allow solicitation or vendors of any kind on PEC private property. PEC does not permit events to be held on private property. If you have a request outside of the above, please complete the form and a member of the team will review your request and be in touch within five business days.
Facility and parking lot requests
PEC parking lots and facilities are used primarily for official PEC business. However, special provisions may be made for particular nonprofit events, exhibits, or uses that enhance or add to the enrichment of the community and the membership.
Special request for community support
Requests must meet specific requirements and be approved by the PEC Board of Directors. Please contact your external relations representative for more information.
