Winter Preparation Through Community Education
Just as PEC prepares year-round for winter weather events, we’re also committed to educating our members and communities on how to stay safe during emergencies. This fall, PEC experts hit the road to share important readiness tips and information with our members at senior centers in Kyle, Marble Falls, and Cedar Park.
Lineworkers Honored With ‘Apprentice of the Year’ Awards
For a second straight year, PEC honored select lineworker apprentices from each district for exhibiting excellence in leadership, classroom exam performance, skills demonstrated, volunteer work with PEC outside of their daily tasks, and acts of service in their local communities. Those selected also needed to have received member recognition for their fieldwork.
Unbelievable Achievement
Since being hired by PEC, Canyon Lake Lineworker Apprentice Zack Gough has climbed to remarkable heights. His accomplishment of winning Top Overall Apprentice and Top Apprentice in the REA Division at International Lineman’s Rodeo three years in a row solidified that.
Report Your Outage Easily by Text
PEC is committed to bringing you safe, reliable power 24/7, but there are times when power outages are unavoidable. If you experience an outage, there is a way you can quickly report it to us!
Celebrating Those Who Served
At PEC, a spirit of dedication, teamwork, and resilience propels us. This member-first culture is something United States military veterans understand, which is why so many veterans thrive here. In fact, nearly 10% of our workforce is made up of those who served our country. Their experiences and values align deeply with our cooperative’s mission.
Get Your HVAC Prepped and Ready for Winter
To ensure your HVAC is ready to weather the winter, consider having it serviced by a professional. To extend the life of the appliance, it’s recommended that you have your unit serviced at least once a year. It’s also a good idea to change your air filters every 30-60 days or any time they’re dirty or clogged.
Meeting Their Most Important Friend
Many previous Youth Tour participants have met lifelong friends during the trip to Washington, D.C. That was the case for PEC members J. Don and Patty McAlpin, who met the love of their lives back when they attended in 1985.
Your Change Helps Your Neighbors in Times of Need
This Thanksgiving and throughout the year, the change you give to PEC’s Power of Change Program can make a powerful impact by helping your neighbors in need.
Think Safety When Prepping Your Thanksgiving Feast!
This Thanksgiving, be sure to keep safety in mind when cooking your holiday feast.
