PEC Announces Andrea Stover as General Counsel

Stover Brings Nearly 20 Years in Energy and Utility Law

(JOHNSON CITY, Texas) October 01, 2024 — Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) is pleased to announce the addition of Andrea Stover as General Counsel, effective October 1, 2024. Following an extensive search, Stover was selected to serve on PEC’s executive leadership team, reporting directly to CEO Julie C. Parsley. An industry veteran, Stover brings with her nearly 20 years of experience working in Texas utility and energy law, representing cooperatives, electric utilities, and other market participants. Most recently, she was a Partner at Baker Botts LLP, a global law firm, and served as co-chair of the Energy Regulatory Practice Group and the Austin hiring partner.

“We are delighted to welcome Andrea to the PEC team,” said CEO Julie C. Parsley. “Her wealth of experience working in the Texas electric industry, along with her understanding of cooperative values and business model help position Andrea to exceptionally serve our membership.”

In her new role, Stover will tackle challenges including increased regulatory requirements in an ever-changing electric wholesale market and impacts related to the unprecedented growth of the Cooperative membership.
