One of the unique benefits of being a PEC member is the power to vote. As a member, our annual election is your chance to have a say in the cooperative’s direction by electing its board of directors.
Members in districts 2 and 3 are eligible to vote for board directors in the 2026 election. Members who vote will be entered in drawings for bill credits of $400, $100, and $75!

Your board director district is determined by the location of your primary account. If you have accounts in different districts, you may request to change your voting district by calling 888-554-4732. Please note that PEC can change your primary account only once every three years.
Your voting district is shown on your bill beneath your name (on the right corner) under Director District. If you are unsure which district is assigned to your primary residence, please give us a call.

In 2026, voters in PEC’s districts 2 and 3 will elect board directors in the annual election. The elected directors will serve three-year terms. Voting is open from May 19 to June 12 at 5 p.m.
Voting is easy! Members may vote online, via PEC SmartHub on a computer or mobile device, by mail, by email link, or in a PEC office.
Each year, eligible PEC members may seek nomination for board director positions up for election through the petition process established by PEC’s Bylaws.

PEC’s democratically elected board of directors is responsible for setting policy for the largest distribution electric cooperative in the nation — one that covers 8,100 square miles.
Each year, eligible PEC members are invited to seek nomination for director positions up for election through the petition process established by PEC’s bylaws.
