Youth Tour
2026 Youth Tour applications will open October 1, 2025!
Each summer, our high school delegates join 1,500 students from electric cooperatives across the country on an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., to:
- Tour historical sites, including Arlington National Cemetery, Capitol Hill, the Lincoln Memorial, Mount Vernon, the Smithsonian Institution, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the Washington National Cathedral.
- Meet local political representatives and learn more about our local and federal governments.
- Create lifelong friendships with students from all around the country!
To apply, students must:
- Be classified as a high school sophomore, junior, or senior for the 2025-26 school year.
- Have a parent or legal guardian who is a PEC member in good standing.

Eligibility Requirements
- Student must have completed their high school sophomore, junior, or senior year by June 2026.
- Student must have a parent or legal guardian who is a PEC member in good standing.
- Student must be available for the following:
- In-Person Interviews: Thursday, January 15, 2026 for selected semi-finalists
- Orientation: Sunday, February 1, 2026 for selected delegates and parent or guardian
- Local Government Day: Thursday, June 11, 2026 for selected delegates
- Youth Tour Trip: June 14-21, 2026
