Youth Tour
2027 Youth Tour applications will open next fall!
Each summer, our high school delegates join 1,500 students from electric cooperatives across the country on an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., to:
- Tour historical sites, including Arlington National Cemetery, Capitol Hill, the Lincoln Memorial, Mount Vernon, the Smithsonian Institution, the U.S. Supreme Court, the Washington National Cathedral, and more.
- Meet local political representatives and learn more about our local and national governments.
- Create lifelong friendships with students from all around the country!
Eligibility Requirements
- Student must have completed their high school sophomore, junior, or senior year by June 2027.
- Student must have a parent or legal guardian who is a PEC member in good standing.

Applications for Youth Tour 2026 are now open and will close at 11:59 p.m. on November 10, 2025.

- Student must be available for the following:
- In-Person Interviews: Thursday, January 15, 2026 for selected semi-finalists
- Orientation: Sunday, February 1, 2026 for selected delegates and parent or guardian
- Local Government Day: Thursday, June 11, 2026 for selected delegates
- Youth Tour Trip: June 14-21, 2026
