Education powers the leaders of tomorrow. That’s why PEC is proud to support Central Texas through its youth programs, educational foundation giving, and scholarships. This year, PEC will award $100,000 in scholarships to regional students who will attend the college, university, technical school, or trade school of their choice.

2025 PEC Scholarship Rules

  • Applications for the PEC Scholarship Program must be submitted online via the link below. PEC utilizes the Submittable platform for all online applications. Applications submitted by mail or dropped off in person at a PEC office will not be accepted.
  • No more than one entry per applicant may be submitted.
  • Applications must be completed and submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

TEEX Lineworker Career Scholarship

PEC linemen compete against the best in the state at the Texas Lineman’s Rodeo, showcasing their skills in high-voltage linework and safe work practices each year. PEC will utilize some of the Texas Lineman Rodeo funds from winning top prizes to sponsor a portion of tuition for students attending the TEEX Lineworker Academy in College Station, Texas.

TEEX Lineworker Career Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age by the time they attend TEEX Lineworker Academy.
  • Applicants must have a GED or high school diploma.
  • Applicants must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle driver’s license.

If selected, recipient(s) must have applied, been accepted, and registered for the TEEX Lineworker Academy program before the funds are applied to their tuition.
