PEC Offers Multiple Education Programs, Resources
As a new school year begins, PEC is continuing to empower teachers and students with various education programs.
“We offer many programs to ensure teachers and students in our communities have as many resources as possible to succeed and learn more about PEC and electrical safety,” said Community Relations Manager Celeste Mikeska.
Teachers can take advantage of a plethora of opportunities, like EmpowerU, a program that helps educate students about electrical safety through presentations, worksheets, videos, and Circuit Builder kits. You can apply or learn more about this program at pec.coop/empoweru.
We also offer career day events, where we send our lineworkers out to your school to teach students about what it takes to pursue the profession! By seeing the equipment firsthand and getting a glimpse at their daily duties, your students will learn many tricks of the trade. These can be scheduled by going to pec.coop/youth.
Our student members who are looking to pursue continued education can get a leg up with our PEC Scholarship Program, which helps local students fund tuition for the college, technical school, university, or trade school of their choice. Learn more at pec.coop/scholarships.
“Our students are the future of our communities, so we’re proud to invest in them every step of the way,” Mikeska said.
