PEC reaches 400,000 meters

Co-op commits to serving growing membership

PEC has come a long way since we energized the first section of line in 1939, or since we reached 100,000 meters back in 1994.

As the Texas Hill Country has experienced record growth over the years, so have we. And as we celebrated our 85th anniversary last year, we proudly set our 400,000th meter at the Buda Fire Department’s new station on November 28, 2023.

This comes just five years after we reached 300,000 meters. Previously, it took 12 years to reach 300,000 meters from 200,000.

“PEC is rooted in community and we are delighted to set our 400,000th meter at Station 1 of the Buda Fire Department, an organization that is also committed to serving the community,” said PEC CEO Julie C. Parsley. “As we look ahead, we are deeply focused on meeting the needs of all our growing communities that depend on the member-focused service we’ve provided over the past 85 years.”
