PEC Employees Donate More Than 800 Toys to Area Santa Programs

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(JOHNSON CITY, Texas) December 16, 2024 — Pedernales Electric Cooperative employees will be spreading cheer this holiday season to area families in need. Across its offices, PEC employees donated more than 800 toys, 11 bicycles, and four scooters to community toy drive programs throughout the Texas Hill Country. 

“Nothing builds our cooperative spirit more than giving back,” said Community Outreach Specialist Kevyn Packer. “We’re grateful to our employees who generously donated toys, scooters, and bikes to partner organizations across Central Texas. We hope these gifts will lift families in need and help make the holidays magical for many deserving children.”

In 2023, PEC employees donated more than 750 toys to nonprofit holiday programs. This year’s donations will benefit the following organizations:

  • Blanco County Brown Santa
  • Comal County Operation Green Santa
  • Hays County Brown Santa
  • Highland Lakes Christmas is for Kids
  • Junction Church of Christ Toy Drive
  • Leander Police Department’s Operation Blue Santa
  • Liberty Hill Operation Blue Santa
  • Travis County Brown Santa
