Remember to move over and slow down on the roads
The Texas Hill Country will be in the path of the total solar eclipse on April 8. Because of this, it is predicted that thousands of people will be in our region to experience this rare moment.
Times of high traffic can pose a challenge for PEC crews and first responders. To keep you and others safe, please remember it is the law to move over and slow down when you see vehicles pulled over with flashing lights. This includes PEC bucket trucks with amber-colored lights, as well as police, fire, and emergency vehicles. Drivers must move out of the lane closest to the utility vehicle when possible or slow down to 20 miles per hour below the posted speed limit.
Please keep this and other safety tips in mind so you and everyone else can stay safe during the solar eclipse.
Happy viewing!
