Avoid Power Lines When Clearing Debris

As a result of the recent storms, many of you experienced damage to trees and may have debris on your property. As you take steps to remove tree limbs and other debris, please avoid contact with power lines. Never trim trees that come within 10 feet of power lines or work within 10 feet of power lines.

Electricity can travel from the power lines to your body, tools, or nearby branches, causing injury or death.

Even if you believe the line is de-energized, the status of the line could change as we continue to address outages and make repairs.

If branches or debris are close to or impacting power lines around your property, please call us at 888-554-4732, and PEC will send a crew to safely clear the space near the lines. If you have questions about someone on your property, please ask for identification. All PEC crews and contractors carry ID, and you can call the number above to verify their identity.
