Twinkly times are almost here!

PEC’s world-famous holiday lights set to sparkle November 24

Pedernales Electric Cooperative invites those looking to experience the magic of the holiday season to visit its headquarters at 201 S. Ave. F, in Johnson City. The co-op’s world-famous holiday lights will begin shining November 24 from 6 p.m. to midnight and will continue nightly through January 7, 2024.

PEC’s display boasts more than 1.3 million sparkling LED lights, illuminating dozens of majestic oak trees. Together with Johnson City’s Lights Spectacular, visitors can enjoy more than 2 million holiday lights — earning it the nickname of the Twinkliest Town in Texas. PEC’s holiday lights have been a tradition for more than 30 years and are a favorite for both locals and travelers. The event is free, family friendly, and even dogs are welcome.

In honor of PEC’s 85th anniversary of powering the Texas Hill Country, the co-op is encouraging members and guests to share their best photos of PEC’s holiday lights on Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) using the hashtag #PEC85LIGHTS. Those who participate will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card to help brighten the holidays!
More information is available at pec.coop and on PEC’s social media channels.
